A duplex with two garages near the beach has a lot to offer the summer renter. However, even though people rent places like this to be close to the ocean and enjoy the summer air, there was still something missing from one Ocean City, NJ duplex: Climate control.

This was a huge drawback to potential renters, and the owner knew it had to be taken care of. So new heating and cooling solutions were in order. They decided to get it taken care of in the offseason so they could hit the ground running when summer starts! 

Problem: There was no existing central air conditioning unit in the house.

Since the Mitsubishi ductless panels use small, three-inch pipes, Carrier technicians can install them quickly and easily. The owner got his new panels, and a new Carrier Infinity 2-stage heating system, up and running in about a day. He didn’t need to worry about a long installation process or people doing a lot of work in his rental property when he wasn’t around.

The property owner and his renters can breathe easy now — literally. The panels are easy to clean, unlike traditional ducts that require professional attention. They also feature a multi-stage filtration system that catches much more dust, pollen, bacteria and allergens than traditional HVAC ducts.

As enticing as energy efficiency and air purity are, however, the biggest advantage of ductless panels for most people is a monetary one. Since Mitsubishi ductless panels are more efficient than older HVAC systems, and heat and cool each room independently, they cost less to run. The result? The property’s monthly energy costs were around $500 with window units before installing the ductless panels and 2-stage heating system. Now, he’s spending only $275 per month.
