When you begin your retirement, comfort and ease should be on the top of the priority list. Unfortunately for this new North Wildwood homeowner, it wasn't all that simple. This couple had just retired, and purchased a single family home in North Wildwood. Once it got cold out they went to turn on the heat, they realized that their heating system in the house was shot.  

They had a wall furnace that was between 25-30 years old. It was out of order, and the parts that it needed were no longer being produced. When we removed the old furnace, we discovered there was no interior wall panel. We had to cut a piece of sheet rock to fit the missing wall space so that we could install a new heating system immediately. 

They decided to go with a Mitsubishi Ductless Hyper Heat Unit. Ductless units don't require any ventilation system, making it easier to install into unique spaces, older homes, new construction, etc. This unit will heat in the winter, and also cool off the home in the summer. 

The homeowners also took advantage of a $500 New Jersey Clean Energy Cool Advantage Rebate. This program awards rebates to homeowners that install new, more energy efficient equipment. With the growing importance of energy conservation, the state encourages people to use this kind of technology instead of old, inefficient systems. 

Aside from the benefit of the $500 rebate, this homeowner will be able to use their system all year long, and also save money on energy bills. If their old heating system had worked, it would have cost far more in energy bills than what the ductless system will. Ductless also allows you to heat or cool a specific zone. This means that they can adjust the temperature to their liking when they are in the rooms with ductless units. 

Ductless systems are becoming a lot more common, not only because of the comfort they provide, but also the ease of installing it into different spaces. If you have a bedroom that never stays the same temperature as the rest of the house, instead of replacing a system, you may just want to add a ductless unit. The same goes for additions and basements. This is a perfect supplement to other systems. 

You can also install a multi zone ductless system, which means that you can have multiple ductless units spread throughout your house. This allows you to have different temperatures throughout the house. If your family doesn't always agree about the temperature of the house, there's no need to argue about it anymore. One person can have their room set at 75 degrees, while another has theirs down to 65 degrees! It also allows you to save tons of energy! Instead of a traditional system that tries to keep the entire house the same temperature, a ductless system allows you to only heat or cool the necessary spaces. 

So now these homeowners are comfortable all year round, and are going to be saving money on energy bills. It's time for retirement to feel the way it should in North Wildwood!
