Think about how much time you spend in your kitchen, dining room and living room. It’s a lot, right? Unless you’re a teenager spending as much time as possible in your room, odds are you’re usually in one of those spots.
Now imagine spending all that time in a room that not only gets too hot in the summer but is also all the way up on the third floor, where the most heat in the house gets trapped. For years, window- and wall-mounted air conditioners were the best ways to cool these. Now, there’s an even better solution.

This is the sort of thing that homeowners may think are about impossible to solve. Otherwise, it wouldn’t be such a common problem. Fortunately, however, it’s a fairly straightforward fix for our Comfort Now techs, and in this case, the circumstances made it even easier.
In general, for situations like these, Mitsubishi ductless panels are the way to go. They’re as strong and out-of-the-way as a centralized system. But, they don't need all the behind-the-scenes ductwork throughout the house.
That’s especially important in a multi-unit house, where there’s not as much living space to begin with as a single-family home.
The Mitsubishi ductless panels also offer the flexibility of wall and window units. But, they’re not clunky or noisy. They also use less energy and blend into a room much better.
For reasons like these, ductless panel systems are becoming more and more popular. And, in these duplexes, they were just what was needed. Even though installing them is usually easy enough, our techs were able to make the process even easier since one of the kitchens were undergoing renovations, anyway.
All a tech needs to do to install Mitsubishi ductless panels is mount them on a wall, and drill a small hole — no wider than an inch in diameter — to fit the small, flexible tubing that delivers the cool air.
Since the homeowner was redoing the kitchen anyway, he had more options than usual for where they placed the panels. They decided to place it above the refrigerator. It’s out of the way, but still able to do its job.
And, here’s the kicker: The Sea Isle homeowner actually got cash back for installing the panel! Since Mitsubishi ductless panels are energy-efficient, they qualify for New Jersey’s “Cool Advantage Rebate” program.
Those are savings the whole family can enjoy.
