One of the most common type of homeowner that we work with is someone who lives away from the Jersey Shore, but owns a vacation home in the area. That was the case for these Wildwood homeowners. There was not any sort of heat, or air conditioning in this home, which they knew had to change. They wanted to be able to use the house in the summer AND in the winter, when it gets pretty cold. This is why they insisted on putting heating as well as cooling in the duplex.
Problem: No heating or cooling in this Wildwood Duplex. Needed to be able to use all year round. Also wanted zone heating and cooling so the whole house doesn't have to be heated or cooled if it's not all being used.
Solution: Installing a Mitsubishi 4-Panel Ductless System allowed the homeowners to heat and cool their house in four separate zones. This efficient system will properly heat or cool whichever section of the home they want, quietly, while using up minimal energy. The homeowner also qualified for a rebate and a 12 year parts and compressor warranty!
The owners wanted to be able to heat and cool the home in sections. That way if they were only using one floor, or one part of the house, they would be able to keep that section comfortable, without wasting money on heating or cooling the rest of the house. They also qualified for a rebate of $500 from the NJ Cool Advantage, and a $400 Manufacturer's rebate. We were also able to offer a 12 year parts and condenser warranty because we are an Elite Mitsubishi Diamond Contractor.
Our Plan of Action: When we went out, we saw that there was no equipment in the home at the time. The homeowners clearly wanted to improve the quality of their home, and make it more comfortable and livable in the toughest parts of winter and summer. Since they wanted to have the ability to heat the home as well as cool it, we decided that Heat Pumps were the way to go. Not every shore house homeowner decides to heat their home, but now with all the different events in the winter, along with having a second home that is livable all year round, heating is becoming more popular.
The homeowners also wanted to have the zone heating and cooling option. This not only runs very quietly and efficiently, but it also saves money on energy bills. If they were only using the first floor, they didn't want to have to spend the money cooling the upstairs also. This 4-Panel System will efficiently heat and cool the sections of their home they want taken care of, saving them money and keeping them happy.
We mirrored the upstairs and downstairs placement to install the splits, that way we could use the same lining on the outside of the house to run to the condensers. Once we installed all 4 panels and ran the lining, the house was ready to be heated and cooled off at any time!
